I was thinking battery to begin with and then looked into these they are a complete package. Fast to charge with ac you have the option of solar the designing is done you just plug everything in.

    Morning all

I've been researching battery backup for the house, we have solar but the new laws allow for the power company to buy power from me for a low amount and sell it back to me at the higher rates at night.
The eco has been the best system with 3 of the big units powering the wall. However, with solid state around the corner, I have been waiting and watching. I don't want to put 20k into a whole house system just to find a better system in a few years. As for the car, they have flexible 100w panels that would adhere to the top of the vehicle, and would keep a 2 car battery system going on an extended trip.
gmrs here, I had studied for the test but never took it, life happened.

    Good Morning Paul
Good picture of him. Please remember the kid you took care of when you were still a kid yourself, and the men and close friends you became. There are no words to capture the pain and emotion, you just must endure to carry on. I'm just a phone call away if you need me. May God bless and bring peace to you and yours.

Forgot to add, that there is a tax credit you can get for battery systems and panels. It is 30% of the cost (not sure of the limit) but the battery must be at least 3k to qualify. I figured I only needed 2k, but with the credit I got a 4k setup for about $100 more. Although I do need to wait for the credit until I file.

    Good morning :pccoffee:

2 days ago got a Platelet Replacement Therapy (Regenerative Medicine) injection in my left ankle. Normally get a cortisone shot but trying the new fangled medicine now that insurance covers it. A lot more painful than cortisone and still can hardly walk on it. Doc from Sports Med says if it doesn't work by Sept. 1 we can go back to cortisone in time for bird season. Worth a try. I think.

Yesterday got a letter from Mayo research that I tested positive for the research project in esophageal cancer that I volunteered for. My father died of esophageal cancer and it is why I came to Mayo and Mn. When they called to ask if I wanted to volunteer was hard to say no. Swallowed a sponge on a string held it down for a minute and then nurse Cratchet pulled it up. Now I need to call them and schedule an endoscopy. Guess it is both good and bad news.

Today go to dentist to see if they will do a bridge & crown or implant for the molar they removed a couple of months ago. Joy.

Tomorrow meet with the surgeon to determine if I do surgery to remove the tumor in my lung or radiation treatment. The surgeon would have to do a lot of convincing to make me do surgery over radiation in the proton beam center. Turns out she is the Division Chair, I seem to be getting the best of the best lately so no complaints from me.

But this getting old shit is a LOT of work....

70% of Canada lives South of where I live in Mn. somewhere down around Iowa LOL. Truth be told they are actually in the basement, just saying...

Back when I was looking seriously I kept going back to the Honda or Yamaha quiet generators. I carry four 5 gallon gas cans anyhow as there are no gas stations in most places I go. With the occasional boat ramp gas pump. I've reached the stage where I prefer to find a cabin and just rent it for a couple of weeks. Spendy yes but add up all the other costs and it really isn't so bad. And in the hot showers and running water with a flush toilet.. May have an influence on why I am still working!

And a good morning to all. Stay cool if applicable, or dry (in my area, anyway).

Salmon patties for breakfast. ???? Yep. I'm weird.

Next stop, Auto Zone. Sandy has some goo gone. It didnt cut some of the heavy glue on my back window. Gonna grab a can of brake cleaner and finish that job. Next project is an interior detailing. On another day.

Hope y'all have a splendid Thursday.

    Good Morning Chief Mike

Dayum this a lot to take in! I wish you positive outcomes on all this shtuff. Bottom line, I am glad u r whar u r. ;)
    :fistbump:

Reference rent vs own, we rented a Can Am crew side by side to take visiting family site seeing this past Monday. Renting trailer and rig was $600 for 24 hours. Considering I sold off my 6x6 SxS last year because I tired of spending a couple + $Large every Summer on mx and repairs for 1, maybe 2, hunting trips a year. Kept my quad, significantly less expensive, and resigned myself to hunting from Danny's cabin every August/September. This experience renting the machine for them made me realize I have the option to still take a few "drive far/go in deep" hunts via renting the rig. The value in leaving the storage and mx upkeep labor/worries to someone else cannot be disregarded. I get it Chief, "spendy" is a perception.

    Be well my friend. :)

Thank you Blevin the one I was bidding on was only 500 the other one I’m researching is 700 but it sounds like that might be on the low side as well. I already have a 200w solar suitcase that will come in handy for sitting for a bit and you can aim them. On my local trips it probably won’t ever be necessary but I have some western trips in mind. I want to do the getting there along the same line as I did the single dog transports. Go till I need a nap pull into a rest area do it again then check into a motel it’s shower time about then.
