Body Armor hiline bumper with 20” rough country Light bar, body armor rear bumper with rough country 2” lights cubes, rough country ditch lights and RSI Smart Cap sport.
Utilizing tips and techniques shared by YouTube DIY’ers, I installed the front and rear Body Armor bumpers on my 3rd generation Tacoma. The process itself wasn’t too difficult, and I found myself having a harder time on what I had imagined were going to be the easier things to do.

Having had zero experiences working on vehicles, my wife and I decided to take a jab at doing it ourselves. With that being said, I did go with the more cost efficient bumpers and lights. I knew I’d be cutting wires and accidentally destroying a pair of $80 lights is more tolerable than destroying a pair of $300+ lights.

For the lights, I went with Rough Country and for the switch panel I went with Auxbeam. I intend to keep everything installed until it begins to fail before I consider replacing anything. The only things I didn’t go thrifty on were the Smartcap, the Dobinson suspension and the Felcon 32” tires. Although I’m sure there are better options out there, for what I intend to use my truck for, this is more than what I need.

It’s amazing the amount of content and knowledge out there from Tacoma owners and I found myself finding answers to all my questions on this Tacoma forum as wall as many YouTube channels.

This time last year buying a Tacoma was the furthest thing from my mind, but with four dogs, the a truck was the only option and a Tacoma was a no brainer.
