I'm coming up on replacement soon. I've got almost 55k. I'll update this when I'm done and put a link in to the new set of tires I purchased. These Wildpeaks were absolutely the best AT tire I've ever purchased. I hope I don't regret just spending the $800 they cost this time around..... It just seemed like a lot for a set of 16" tires.

So now I'm just at about 55k miles on these tires. I'll be driving in the snow sometime soon and I've had a new set of tires sitting in my garage for a couple months....it was time to say goodbye to these treads.

Overall ... Once I got over 50k they were pretty slick in the rain from a dead stop they liked to spin a little before catching. Even still... Cornering and driving in the wet weather did not make the truck break loose or deter my confidence in them at all... Although they got louder after 40k, the noise still wasn't bad... they looked awesome, they were fairly lightweight, they tracked straight the entire time, I got good MPG, and they were truly good in any conditions.

These tires exceeded my expectations and for the $525 I paid for them at the time I would have snatched another set of they weren't up to $800+. But even at that price point I'd say they are worth it....hands down the BEST AT tire I've ever ran on any of my trucks.

If your interested in what I bought as a replacement check this out

Im not confident these new treads will measure up to the wonderful experience I had over the past 3 years with these Falkens. It'll be hard to compare.

I’m curious did you drop the air pressure in the winter or run 38# throughout?

    Nice write up btw

I ran 36/37 in the rear and 38 up front all year. I have a 4 cyl if that makes a difference.

this is great! I've put about 65K on my KO2's and its starting to feel that i need new ones.

Before i bought the KO2's i was looking at the the Falken you have.

Great thread, thanks man. No lift on your truck? I’m about to pull the trigger on tires as well and these have been a top competitor for me based on reviews. I wish I could get them for the deal you got, I’m looking at about $1000 for all 4 from Discount Tire.

No lift. $1000 installed seems to be on par in today's crazy market, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I bought new tires a few months ago for a bit less than $500 and had a local shop install for $120. Now I'm kicking myself for not just getting another set of wild peaks.. these new tires are a bust. I should have known better at my age .. I won't think twice about purchasing another set of wildpeaks again or maybe rubitreks since I do more on road driving than offroad

Thank you man! That helps a ton to know because I’m also 99% on road and just want a more aggressive look. Part of me wants to wait for the AT4W, but I’d rather have new tires for the winter. What did the tires do you to your mpg? Maybe 1 or 2?

My MPG was around 22-24 bone stock. When I removed the air dam and installed new wheels and tires I was (and still remain) 19-22. I generally get 19-20 in the winter and 21-22 in the nice weather.

I went with SL to save weight. I also went with a lightweight wheel.

We really didn't get much snow over the 3 years I had these, however with the snow we did getthe first year I owned them they were totally fine. Id have confidence in them even in some deep stuff.

Ice.... That's something I really didn't encounter, but nothing really does great on ice unless you get a studded tire. This past week we had plenty of packed and black ice alike and much like any other tire I've ran in 2x4 and/or 4x4 my new tires weren't anything special.. they tracked straight and didn't send me spinning into the woods, but I had plenty of slippage. I've been in plenty of accidents in the snow/ice .... In my experience I've never had an all season/all terrain tire that performed "well"on ice.... Drive straight, take it slow, and feather the gas is my maneuver these days to keep my truck on the road ....I will say most of my accidents in the snow were because i had tires that should probably have been changed... Gotta learn some lessons the hard way ...

Solid review. I had 285/70R17 C load on my gx for years and they were great. Debating what to do now that I bought a taco.

    The AT4w is out

I bought a set of GT Radials and I have to say i would rather have spent the extra money on another set of the falkens. They were good tires
