Just checking in..am driving the first Taco TRD Pro to be on the road in northern CA north of Bakersfield. Picked it up yesterday after trading up (or down...) my 2021 Tundra TRD Pro. Don't need the BIG truck anymore so thought this is the only real replacement...:):):)

I’m tired of fighting the 3rd gen shifting power issues, even with OV upgrade. Never find the right gear , either at 1300 rpm or 3400 rpm. Is it worth looking at the new 2024?

Dang, you done messed up letting that reliable hard to find beast go and trading it in on an unproven power train. I traded my 2020 tundra trd off-road 4x4 for a Tacoma and regret it every day, I miss all the passenger room and towing capacity. I’ll admit the new Tacoma pro looks good, but that’s about it. To each his own though!

Had same until I got rid of the Orange and went OTT.
100% different truck. Changed the way I feel about everything. Worth every penny.

    Thx Out2
Hate to spend another $500, thought orange virus would fix it. But no. Did you do it yourself?

Night and day difference between the two. I had an official OTT installer do the tune. I've never been happier with any aftermarket purchase for my Taco.

0 gear hunting now and with an intuitive tap of the throttle your off. Very nice feeling.

And conversely I was never ever happy with my OV tune.

Thx for the info. So frustrating, looking to trade to a 2024 but $$$. I’ve been towing a small light trailer and you’d think it was a huge motor home. Gear switching driving me crazy. OTT install better than $45k
