2nd Gen Tacoma vibration 50km and above.

2007 Tacoma vibration/humming on driver floor /gas pedal, goes away turning left at speed.
What i have replaced
Driver side Cv axle
both wheel bearings
needle bearing
drive shaft steady bearing
universal joint
rotated tires ( no change)

Last part is doing the passenger side cv axle... any help is appreciated

 

Did you ever find a solution to this OP? Seems similar to an issue I am having as well. Buzzing/vibrations at 60mph. Replaced needle bearing, passenger CV. Still have the vibrations.

 

Yes it was the rear driver side wheel bearing causing the vibration

 

I'm having a similar vibration/humming. I replaced the passenger side front wheel bearing and hub, but it persists. Maybe it's driver side. I made a couple of recordings (.wav) files & attached zip file. The first is coasting to a stop getting off the interstate. The 2nd is coasting to stop at a red light and then accelerating on green. Did yours sound like that?

 

Hey KDM , Does the sound disappear when turning left or right ? if it dosent trying putting the truck in 4x4 and see if you got that vibration still. if it persists I would check you u joints and the steady bearing

 

I should have mentioned that I had all 3 u-joints and carrier bearing replaced and the drive shaft balanced. The vibration doesn't change with turning left or right. Also, I noticed the vibration after I replaced my wheels and tires a couple months ago. It had off-road tires when I bought it (Tracker A/T). I bought NOS wheels and tires from a dealership, which are much quieter and comfortable. But then I heard the vibration.

 

Does it still do it when in 4x4 ? also it could possibly be the needle bearing in your front diff

 

Well, after more testing, it definitely stops buzzing/vibrating on a sharp right turn, like an interstate cloverleaf.

I've taken it to 2 shops since last reply. Frustrating - one rebuilt my driveshaft. Still not fixed. The other guys removed the driveshaft and said it went away when they drove in in 4wd (front wheels driving) but I think that necessarily excludes the right rear wheel bearing. Whaddya think?

 

If they removed the driveshaft and the vibration went away driving in just fwd I would be looking at the diff yokes where the driveshaft attaches to
