15 Tacoma in Accident, Frame Damage?

Daughter’s truck t-boned a driver running a stop sign. I’m guessing speed was 10-15 Mph in her truck.

The reason I’m asking is when I was following her home, the truck wasn’t tracking straight unfortunately.

    Thanks in advance

I’ve bolted some stuff to it *lists cool stuff here*
Bumper came apart, interesting.. with a big bump you might be out of alignment but I don’t think that frame is toast by any means..

That’s good news and I was surprised the weld broke on the bumper also. Just happened yesterday, so off to a shop in a few days.

Also, that bumper manufacturer is out of business now.

    Thanks

Looks like the bumper probably limited damage to the front end.

Hard to say for sure but yes, I would have the alignment checked first, possibly it just got knocked out of alignment by the impact. (Simple loosen / adjust / retighten of front LCA alignment cam-bolts might fix it.)

If a tire gets hit it can move the alignment cams and bend the tabs, luckily if the frame is straight it’s an easy fix

the bumper obviously isn’t as lucky, but you might be able to hammer the bent parts and have the area where it split re welded

Company called Pelfrebilt off-road in Ramona, Ca.

It’s a 2012-2015 Aluminum plate bumper with Rigid LED Cutouts.

    OUCH.

Tough to say but I'm also thinking start with alignment, keep it simple kind of thing.

More mods than it should have...
Frame doesn't appear damaged but I'm with everyone else, get the alignment checked/fixed first and if the truck still doesn't drive straight get the frame checked. Personally, I'd get the frame checked anyways just for piece of mind. (Also, if you're looking to get another bumper I recommend BAMF :D)

Definitely going to get the frame checked when it goes to the shop and will check out BAMF bumpers.

    Thanks

BAMF stuff is top quality but it's also very heavy -- they tend to use 1/4" plate for everything, and 1/2" plate for mounting surfaces. Many other good-quality brands tend to use 3/16" steel the body of the bumper & 3/8" plate for mounting, making them considerably lighter.

In any event I would not recommend buying any steel bumper whose main body is less than 3/16" thick steel.

No way to say for sure from a couple pics. Either the other guys insurance or your daughters insurance is going to take care of it. Just wait for the adjuster and the body shop to figure it out.

Don’t see any obvious frame damage. As other mentioned get a shop to check it out. I’m betting a little faster than 10-15mph. As long as everyone is ok, the truck can be fixed.
