Hi folks - extremely stoked first time tacoma owner here. Just bought a 2023 TRD Pro.

I installed a Redarc Liberty trailer break system today. I mounted + connected the unit in the dash no problem. BUT when I went to slot the little knob controller through the switchboard on the left side of the dash I couldn't fit it through any of my switch slots.

Weirdly, it almost seemed like the Redarc knob piece (pictured here) was the piece not fitting through the switch slots... I couldn't get it to fit through the smaller ones (red circle in the dash image below) or the longer one (blue circle in the image below) [note this is not my image... this image is from someone who made this install work in their 2021 tacoma]. This made me wonder if there is something about the 2023 Taco switches that won't fit this trailer brake system?

I purchased this switch insert which Amazon led me to believe would fit but it didn't seem to fit any of my switch slots. The image below from the 2021 tacoma uses this switch to mount in the longer (blue circle) switch slot. That's what I'd like to do for my 2023 if possible...

Has anyone put a Redarc unit into a 2023 Tacoma? Will this work if I buy the longer TPSI-007 switch linked above? Do I just need to force the piece through the switch slot a little harder? I'm sure I'm being stupid here somehow - would really appreciate some help getting this thing properly set up.

Many thanks in advance for any help here. Cheers.

Original poster, did you get this sorted out? I bought the REDARC based on recommendations but am having a bear of a time getting it installed through the dash slots.
