Labor Day weekend this year! Gonna try to work with @badlinesgoodtimes guys again. We’ll see if the takeover is in the cinders (I’m obviously partial to) or if we move somewhere else. Stay tuned and will post up a new thread at plans develop

Cinders was rad, I Vote Sand Hollow.

 

Camping would be a little warm but my best chance for extra days will be Labor Day again. I’m wheeling somewhere that weekend for sure. Be nice for it to be with the blgt crew again. The dunes aren’t amazing but it’s enough to entertain fast guys. The crawling is some of the funnest I’ve ever done. Maze, Double Sammi, and Milts Mile are good fun and technical.

 

Haven’t created a new thread or anything yet. But looking like there might be a good group hitting the cinders July 26-28 weekend if anyone wants to join.

 

Next trip dates updated to July 19-21 for anyone that wants to come out.

 

how was it ?

 

Was fun. Decent little group showed up. Didn’t take any pics per usual lol and rain/hail kept things a little on the quiet side.

 

Dude weather has been weird lately, dead in the heat of summer. Was up in Yosemite July 12-13. 98* degrees in the valley, then got caught in a hail storm on the valley rim. Temperature dropped to 50* with the ground steaming from the temperature change. Same storm killed a hiker on half dome that day.

yea man we got hit with some bizarre weather a few weekends ago out at Rubicon.

That is a cool setup, so long as you dont get stuck.

Every now and then the Nat Guard gets their big toys stuck in the mud trying to get into Camp Navajo the back way through Rogers Lake (Mud Puddle). The wreckers they have to use for those are amazing.
