New Wheels on a Limited

Hey all,

I'm new here, have had my Tacoma Limited (I know... Geezer trim) for about 6 months. Got a limited from CarMax. Everywhere I go, it states the limited comes with 18" stock wheels. When buying from CarMax, previous owner had already replaced with 2nd Gen 17" stock wheels. (I thought they were unique at first, until I started seeing them around on older gens).

Anyways, I'm looking to get some 17" gunmetal TRD replicas and need help understanding what is so unique about the limited vs other trims. A lot of online wholesalers (using the trim level) state a lot of wheels will not fit and it's severely limiting the options I want to consider.

If looking at local options vs online, any idea how to get wheels for quality? Should I be hesitant of certain replicas/materials?

All the 3rd trims are the same in terms of wheel and tire fitment.
