As a teenager I had a 1984 Toyota pickup that started its life with a 22RE 4 cyl, and then ended it nearly 400,000 miles later with a 21RU. Not for any other reason than convenience I had a 30 year hiatus from Toyota trucks. There was a 1991 GMC Sonoma, a 1997 S10, an absolutely bullet proof 2005 Chevy Colorado that I drove for 15 years and only ever replaced consumable parts and one thermostat in that time. The last 2 were full size Rams that I was pretty happy with until recently when I discovered a transmission service on that ridiculous SKF transmission can run into the $2500 range. All three of my GM trucks were well into the upper 200,000 miles range when I said good bye. It became abundantly clear that wasn’t going to happen with the Rams, so here I am, back to where I started with Toyota. Wish me luck! FullSizeRender.jpg

Welcome! I came over to the Tacoma from a Ram as well. I was tired of dealing with all the electrical gremlins.

And by Gremlins, I mean that the truck basically stopped functioning after 60K miles haha.
