Hopefully someone has a simple answer for me. Don't want to sift through decades of threads.

Currently running stock rims and want to upgrade. I'm also running 1.25" spacers. I'd like to push the wheels out maybe .25-.50" more. What offset and backspacing would I be needing to accomplish that? Not sure if there's more questions I should be asking or not. Hopefully someone can give a guy a hand. Thanks.

Assuming you have OEM 16's, those are 16x7 +25. Your spacer is 32mm thick. Effectively making your current setup 16x7 -7. An 8.5 at a +00 would push you 12mm out from where you are and that's basically a half inch. Tire width will change the poke if it changes.

So I’m looking to go up to 17” wheels (already did a 2/1 level lift). So would 17x8.5 with a 0 offset make sense? Sorry for my ignorance. Not sure why this stuff is so hard to wrap my head around. Thanks for the help.

@facefirst 17x8.5 +00 would be good. Unless you are changing tire width.

I was actually thinking of going to 255 or 245 for tires. Would I need to go to 8" width?

Go with the what the tire mfgr lists for approved widths. I know most people use 265's. If you do go 17x8 you'll need a -6 to -12 to achieve the look you want. For the sake of ease and maximum wheel choices I'd go with a 265 tire so you can use 17x8.5 +00. There are not many 17x8 -6 or -12 wheels.

OK sounds good. 265 it is. Again, thanks for all the help. Much appreciated.
