What harnesses?

I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off Road with halogen headlights and have the following items on the way:

• Meso Customs V5 Switchback Turn Signals
• Meso Customs Puddle Pods
• V2 grill with raptor lights

What harnesses do I need to make everything a clean install?

 

Upgrade to Oem led and do the conversion harness with grille lights. Add the v5 t harness for those. Nothing needed for puddles.

 

I actually plan on going with the Morimoto XB headlights. Would it still be the same harnesses?

Go OEM….Morimoto (IMO) is junk.

I just noticed you have a harness for the Meso puddle pods. Does this make the install of the puddle pods easier than running the wire through the door boot?

No, it’s only helpful for situations where puddles are installed and you are adding v5’s and want to avoid running the v5 harness through the door boot. It makes the most sense to keep them separate. Puddles could have and likely should have been a 2 conductor but MESO did 4 so the injector changes ignition to true DRL with the aid of my v5 T.

 

So there's no workaround to running the v5 wires through the door boot, into the cab, and into the engine bay if I want the v5s to act like the DRL's in the headlight, correct?
Never ran wires before so I'm currently looking for a YouTube video on how they ran the wires through the firewall.

 

If you already have puddles installed w puddle harness through the boots, the injector turns puddle ignition into true DRL (when paired with the v5 T and a halogen/led T to feed the v5).
If you haven't installed puddles, not significantly harder to run v5 harnesses through the boots independent of puddles so you can remove one or the other or just not care. The puddles and v5's don't need to have anything to do with each other.
Wire through the firewall is required for true DRL but you can get ignition and park out of the wires already present in the door if you don't want/need to turn off drl w the stalk. Lots of guys have done that. Parking lights are in the door lock/window switch harness along with ignition power (effectively, there's a bit of a timer allowing window up/down after ignition is off until you open a door)

You get the 3 pos AMP female off an LED T, Halogen T, or OEM LED conversion harness with grille lights. It carries DRL, Park and Ground.

No worries man. I don't know nothin when it comes to electrical and wiring lol. I'm actually gonna have to hire someone to install these. I just went through all pages of the Meso V5 turn signals are out!!!! thread and it's still way over my head

 

I just received the Meso V5 switchbacks. Did I need your harness if the kit came with this?
