Rock Slider Mounts 3rd Gen vs. 4th Gen

I've got a 2019 DC TRDOR and I'm wondering if anyone has tried to put the new 4th Gen Rock Rails on a 3rd gen? The part is PT738-35242 and the website says it only fits 4th gen.

I'm guessing that it really does fit the 3rd gen, but can anyone confirm? TIA

I doubt it fits the 3rd gen, the 4th gen has an all new frame. I believe the 2nd and 3rd gen frames were nearly identical.

Actually, I'm guessing these aren't true rock sliders if they bolt to the cab and not the frame, similar to the OEM "trail rails" for the 3rd gen.
