Can anyone tell me if the TRD Sport has a different engine tune than the TRD Off-Road?
I've looked around on here and have seen some people post comparisons but nothing is said about engine tune.

I have a 2013 Sport MT AC and a 2015 Off-Road MT DCSB and the Sport rips/feels well... sporty while the Off-road is more sluggish.

They should be the same tune. But that said, I see a truck that's a little heavier to begin with (DC vs. AC); there's all the stuff on your roof and over the bed; and last but not least, tires with more rolling resistance and weight (and may also be oversize - are they 265/70?). Short of a dyno run or something, if you want to see what's what, you could remove all the gear and swap your wheels and tires over and go for a spin...

Trucks of the same year have the same calibration regardless of trim level so all V6 M/T trucks of the same year come with the same calibration.

Now calibrations may change year to year because of emissions requirements but they are not affected by trim level.

I agree with @moon22 your TRD OffRoad truck lokks like it's weighted down with more gear and heavier tires so that will of course make it feel heaver given these trucks aren't powerhouses to begin with.

Yeah, lots of factors contributing to how sporty a truck feels. I was just curious if they came from the factory with a different tune. Thanks @Dm93 for verifying.

Yeah it has a shitty stock tune that people try to improve by doing things like OTT.
