    Hey all, brand new here.

Just bought an 06 4x4 2.7 tacoma a few weeks ago. Has about 114k on the dash and seems to have been well maintained its whole life (no rust :)). Anyway, the dealership told me everything was tight with the steering, no wiggling or jiggling anywhere. However, once I get past 55mph things just seem to get loose. The truck likes to roam around the road some and it periodically pulls to the right (alignment is spot on though). Additionally when driving at slower speeds on gravel or rough road I can feel the steering wheel jump around in my hand and there is a slight knocking noise from, what sounds like, way down in the steering column. Something is loose. Any ideas what it might be? I told the dealership my findings and they reinspected it and gave the green light but the issue is still there.

    Thanks!

Cool cool, running outside to try that. According to the dealership, alignment was spot on, but it does kinda feel like that. Maybe I'll have another shop put it on their machine.
