Background… I bought my 2018 Tacoma SR5 a year ago. It was listed as an off road but luckily I had done my research. I got the price reduced. Anyway it came with a rough country spacer and block lift and crappy Walmart 285 tires. I already did the ecgs bearing. I’m looking to change out the spacers, blocks and tires. I want to do UCAs, coil overs, rear shocks, 265 tires, either AALs or leaf springs. Any suggestions??? And why please. I’m sort of new to Tacomas. I traded my Jeep Wrangler for this and have no regrets. Thanks

    What’s the budget?
A very popular starter lift is
Bilstein 5100 front and rear. Use OME 885-888 coils depending on how much lift you want.
HS 3leaf AAL in the rear
    JBA UCAs.

If want to spend more; look at Bilstein 6112/5160 with a full leaf pack in the rear.

Tons of options, but those are some pretty good popular picks.

Just curious why you would do all that suspension work if you are going to run stock sized tires? It would be cheaper to pick up some stock offroad suspension parts and call it a day.

This. It's ultimately your decision, but I suggest figuring out what extracurricular activities you want to do with your truck. I bought an icon setup simply because it was an all-in-one kit.

apparently, you also MUST also do:

    Floor mats
    Bed cover
    Seat jackers
    Side mirror caps
    Grille replacement
LED interior and license plate lights

otherwise, you're not cool enough, and everyone will make you eat lunch in the corner with the teachers.

I sent it and got King 2.5 coilovers and rear shocks, Camburg uniball UCAs, and Deaver stage 2 leafs. For wheels and tires I went with Method 704s and Nitto Ridge Grappler pizza cutters 255/80/17. Wouldn’t have done anything different. Buy once cry once.

What is the intended use? Just looks or do you prefer a certain style of wheeling. I mainly like exploring and site seeing with the family. The 6112/5160 with a progressive add a leaf treated me well for quite some time.

I currently switched up the rear to archive garage shock relocation with Fox 12" shocks and a custom leaf pack from alcan.
