That's the summer set they have been an excellent tire so far. Looks like I'll get a good 50,000 km out of them if pace holds

The Yoko MT's are cool. No siping for the wet season though.

Honestly 0 issues in the wet I ran them for a good part of a winter and as much as they were not great they were better than expected in the cold slushy icy conditions we get here.

Love that tire, in the sand out here in SoCal they are really good, one of the best mud tire I have ever used. I am currently @ 15k on my set its like they haven't even worn.

Im in the same boat. 265/75/16 SL's ~22k on them and at roughly 7/32. Very even wear across the tire - loved how they drive and especially in the wet, just not happy with the tread life.

Not trying to be a Falken apologist here, but you guys who are concerned about longevity and even wear shouldn't buy tires for looks...

Exactly. Function over form for me. Actually like my tires tall and skinny too. Not really into the extra wide look where it is just that....a look.

265/75/16 AT3's installed in september 2021 (Rotated frequently). Now in August of 2024 i'd say they're at 25-30% left and I've rolled 26,000 miles. No way these go 50,000 miles as advertized.

Otherwise zero complaints about the tire itself. works in snow, loose, rocky, sand dunes, excellent road traction wet/ dry on mountian roads. Too bad about the longevity!

I just had some Rubitrek 116XL in 265/65/17 flavor installed today and they look really good. As good if not better than the wildpeaks imo. 200 per tire at the local shop. I had wildpeak AT3s in the past and those did well but they didn’t go 50k that’s for sure. Hopefully these do well. They are very quiet

I've had 2 sets of AT3W's and currently on a new set of AT4W's. Also have two different Azenis compounds on two of my other vehicles. I've been super happy with my Falkens. But I guess mileage isn't a concern for me as I replace my tire based on age rather than mileage.

I put the Rubitrek on as well this summer. We have had a very wet summer and I do not think they have slipped once. Not to mention they are the quietest tire I have ever ran. They were $178 a piece on Amazon. I did figure out running them at recommend tire pressure was not the way to go. Used a paint marker to draw a line across the tires and kept reducing tire pressure until there was wear across the entire surface of the tire. My truck seems to like 32 pounds of air.

Railcar loads or over the road trailers? How many tires fit in one of them?

They come in by container from Japan (Sumitomo), transported to a warehouse in Texas, and then delivered OTR to us. A little over 900 per trailer for 18" and little over 700 for the 20". We don't get any other sizes from Sumitomo.

If anyone wants a good alternative to the AT3W, I've been running General Grabber ATX's for a couple years now and tread pattern is incredibly similar to the Falkens that guys in our group are running. Performance also seems comparable and up here in Wisconsin I can definitely say winter/snow performance is great too. I'm running 265/70/17s which are C load but another guy here ran the 265/75/16s in E load and had no complaints on the ride, handling, or noise. Great all around tire and they also wear great - I've got about 40k on mine and they still have at least 11/32 tread (maybe more, I haven't measured lately with the gauge because my eyes tell me the lugs are still plenty beefy). Made in USA too. Good luck.

I’ve had no balancing or performance issues with either of my 2 sets of at3w. However, both sets were worn out at 30k. I’m actually glad to see others have had that same issue, I was wondering if it was just my bad luck. As for the warranty, I got both sets at discount tire and they honored the warranty both times. Got about 125/tire. Hopefully the AT4w hold up better, but if not I trust discount tire will take care of it. :fingerscrossed:

I agree. 4 sets in 18 months. Got close to 41k each set before shit would get squirrelly. Barrow AK to Buenos Aires. Every weather condition every surface. Sea level to over 18k ft in Peru. No complaints about performance. The cost has gone up way too much in the last year. I’m looking for another mt.
