It won't come out of park unless I use the bypass switch. I took the top of the console around shifter off . Looking down from the top I see a small J hook coming from the driver side of shifter. should it be attached to shifter some how . Does anyone have knowledge

    Do your brake lights work?

As above the brake light switch is what causes the "Shift Lock" to disengage. If the brake light switch isn't adjusted properly or not working the shift lock solenoid doesn't unlock the shifter.

Check all the fuses listed in this circuit :

So this may sound crazy my truck would not shift out of park my AC was not getting cold the indicator lights on ac were off. The dash lights just on the transmission was not on. The turn signals would not work . The light on the gear shifter not working . The dash trac off was lit. The maintenance required was lit. All of that was because I had a blown 10 amp fuse labeled back up lights.

Your IG1 fuse was blown, had you mentioned everything else that didn't work in your first post we would have found that right away as it's relatively common for people to blow that fuse and not realize it when messing with things on the truck.

I did try to mention all that but it kept telling me I had to be under 140 characters. It's my first time using . I'm really not good with this computer stuff.

Not sure where the 140 characters came from, the title section may be limited but posts don't have a limit.
