3 Hot Wheels 55 Chevrolet Gassers wearing new paint and wheels. 65 Galaxie was one of my first attempts modifying 1/64s. Looks like I have to do another photo shoot sometime this week. Ran out of subjects photographed. Have about 30 new ones and may post the ones departing that they replaced. Sad thing with my collection is something new comes in something old goes out.
I am a Civil War history buff and boxed up 2 large boxes of that stuff to go as well. Its not politically correct anymore as they erase the past. The closet has room for clothes now with everything I pulled out of it which was a lot. Retired. Downsizing.

Second pic is one of the 9 larger tubs I’ve been going through. Most of these will be sold off or given away. Lots of doubles of cars I already have doubles of or cars that I really don’t collect.

Not a bad way to spend a day! I understand it's a lot to go through, but it's great that you're getting it done and seeing all the collection

Custom Ford Thunderbolt. My friend cut the base to fit wide real riders in the back. Cut and made the hood removable. Don’t remember what car the engine compartment came out of.

Few finds of the day

 

That particular card is coming out this year... it's the Silver Logo so priced between the mainline and the Premiums.

 

Dang! too late. I tried to order but it's already sold out.
I will just have to wait for the next round.

 

Had to spend 3 hours in the basement fighting the water soaking thru my walls from the almost 4'' of rain we got yesterday in 2 hours. The storm drains back up when there is a gulley washer and our development was built with drain pipes to small that were not code. I previously rigged up a bypass pipe for my sump pump so it will still work and also made a bypass pipe for water backing up from the street which looks like a water fountain when the pressure builds in the yard from the street. Still had all the standing water from the storm soaking in. I have a giant squeegee to keep the water contained when this happens.

During my breaks I decided to go through some of the boxes in the basement and found 3 with die cast cars in them to go through. Mostly Nascar I think. Yard Sale. Has to be maybe 20 more mystery boxes not opened in years.

Took some great pictures of the water fall outside during the storm yesterday and the river of water coming from it. See a visit to the county commissioner this week. Again. We were lucky with no real water damage. Just up the street a trailer park was a mess as flood waters washed out the skirting around the trailers and they had to do home rescues. A church was damaged as well. I haven't seen my neighbor yet to ask but they just finished replacing the drywall in the basement this week from the last storm like this. We have lived here 20 years and this is the 4rth time for this. We never finished the basement and everything stored is elevated off the floor. County continues to deny responsibility even though they admitted the inspector at the time wasn't doing his job or was paid off. At the worst we have a wet wall and seepage by the sump to contain. Lucky if you call it that.
