Hoping there is a work-around to stop my tailgate from auto-locking when I lock the truck…a real PITA when i want to just drop the tailgate..

Mud on the tires

When my truck doors are locked my tailgate will lower itself as long as I have the key fob in my pocket (I just push either side button). I have a 2024 TRD Sport w/premium options.

Thanks primer…unfortunately mine does not have the premium option…don’t get me started on the way we are ALLOWED to spec out our Toyotas …my 3rd taco…they just take our money and we smile and hand it over …LOL…sorry for the rant…didnt mean to go there …I hope someone else has an insight…be well !!
