I'm new on here and I got a 2017 SR5 two weeks ago. Couldn't justify a TRD seeing as my off roading is the beach searching for fish or the occasional dirt trials on the mainland. Hopefully I'm still cool enough for you guys. Only mod I've really done so far is a cheap rod rack in the bed. I plan to eventually get roof racks up top for my longer rods (12'+) and a tool box in the back with a rocket launcher style rod rack. Anyway, I've already been stalking and I've learned a lot so far, can't wait to join in.

Welcome. At least you bought what you actually needed... That is a rarity in itself. But, you'll end up modding it past what you originally thought thanks to this site

For the roof racks, I've done a little searching, I don't want OEM racks. I've been looking at rhino racks. Are there any good threads to look at for reviews?

Fortunately I remain a member of this forum cause of my older trucks. But my 3rd gen.. she was taken out about a month ago by a drunk driver. I’ve built this truck with the help of friends over the years. Wasn’t the prettiest or the best, but she was mine. I’ll be upgrading to a tundra, but I’ll miss this truck for sure and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t cry a little.

Got everything worth anything off before they took it. And I’m excited to say after some dry fitting, I think I can make the soft topper fit the 1st gen.
