Hi all! I’ve been looking for a good deal on a semi-older truck for a few years now and lo and behold a nice woman comes into the shop I work at for repairs on her Tacoma. She mentions something to me about wanting to get rid of it and I jumped at the opportunity. 2 days later, I’m signing the title and the truck is mine. If anyone has any general maintenance suggestions, modification advice (the truck seems 100% stock to me and I may keep it that way) or any comments at all I’d love to hear them! I’ll upload a few pictures of it, my new 2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner.

It's always a treat to see one that still has it's paint in good shape. Getting to be fewer and fewer of those for sure. I don't put any miles on mine but the paint is falling off as we speak.

Welcome :hattip:what a great find  curious as to how how many miles are on it. AT / MT ? Any plans to paint the fender flares to color match the truck?

Appreciate the welcome. It is an automatic with 141k and some change. I think I’ll leave the flares black but potentially try to brighten them up and coat them in an attempt to prevent them from fading again.

FYI - all of the 1st gen double cabs are automatics unless someone swapped in a manual.

    I dunno about semi-older tho, it's now a classic. Mine's antique.
