Can someone just confirm this will be enough clearance to go from 265/65/17 to 265/70/17. I know stock will take 265/70 but I put 5100/ OME 884 up front and didn’t know if that would potentially alter it. From the pics I think I’m ok just seemed really tight to begin with. Thanks for the help

Too tight, tire will rub on certain angles, in/out of driveways

the pictures are of the 265/65 tires that are on the truck right now. They’ve never rubbed even after the lift and going off road. You think it’s gonna rub going to 265/70? How do people do it on stock 2nd gens then I don’t get it what went wrong here..the lift?

Wheel offset also determines amount of rubbing.
Take the wheel part number off off it and look up offset.
The stock 16s are +30 or +25 (closer to 0 better clearance).
You can add wheel spacers many posts on them.

The upsized D tire will raise the top edge 1/2", making the fat width of the tire 1/2" closer to the UCA.
Turn the wheels and measure for the additional 1/2" clearance needed in there. Get a thin slip on spacer from BORA if needed (a bolt on spacer will be 3/4" minimum).

If u add spacer u will rub somewhere else changes geometry of tire radius, most likely will hit fender liner or cab mount. Lift, chop, and align.

I don’t have the coin right now to play around with messing with more shit. Everything I’ve read on here says 265/70 will fit. I’m just going to stay stock tire size 265/65. Was hoping to bump up just minimally but it really looks ok even with the 2” lift. Thanks for the help

I have 265/70 17s, Ultra Bully 264 wheels, on original DCLB stock suspension with no issues.

I don't know the wheel offset (possibly +18) as they are from 2016 and I can't find the official specs. Not sure if this helps?

Fitting a bigger tire takes work. It’s more than just putting a bigger tire. No way around it.

Absolutely right! I bought my truck with lift and 285 75 17 and have added spacers to get full turn and now rub on cab mount. I just added snorkel and did fender chop but now need cmc. Everything that is altered changes the stock geometry. So hopefully after countless hours and thousands of dollars after cmc I will have no rub! I literally stepped in 10 minutes ago from doing my fender chop.

I definitely get it. It seemed like there was no work involved with going to 265/70 though. I’m not trying to put 33s on

mine came with 265 70 from previous owners on stock TRD sport 17” wheels. In that case yes no additional work needed depending on wheel dimensions.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Some really bad advise in here.

A 265/70 tire is only going to be a little more than an inch (26.5mm) taller. Your tires will be no wider, since the width doesn't change. The pictures show you'll have more than enough room.

To clarify: 265 is the tread width in MM, 65 or 70 is the aspect ratio (sidewall height in percentage of the tread width). Since you want to change from a 65% aspect to a 70% aspect, the change is 5%. 265 x .05 = 13.25. Since you have sidewall above the axle and below the axle: 13.25 x 2 = 26.5 mm.

that’s what I had seen in every thread I researched. It just looked a little wacky when I stuck my head in there to take a look and only saw a tiny bit of clearance with 265/65. So I was wondering if something with the lift might have made it closer or something since everyone said stock is no issue with 265/70
