let’s run Gallagher. My schedule is pretty effed through Labor Day as we are moving across town to a bigger house with a garage, shop and 4 post lift. Last couple years we have done the first weekend of October. It’s still decent during the day but chilly at night. Wanna do Sept 28/29 or Oct 5/6?

Because I know it’s going to get asked here is a photo from the listing. It also has a 3 car garage on the front of the house for the wife.

Dayum. That garage brings a tear to my eye.

I wanna do this, but I am in the exact same spot a last year. Yearly TOB issues.

I hope to have it resolved by then.

That said, I agree that earlier is better.

I feel your pain the MT is a labor of love. It’s been a couple years since I’ve had to deal with my transmission in some fashion.

    I wanna be you!

It shouldn't be this hard. But if it is gonna happen to someone, I suppose I'm a good target.

A TOB every oil change is my jam.

I’ll try not to make you too jealous of all my fun. Two clutches, one stuck in gear problem and my now yeeted leaking CM bearing in my 13’. Throw in 2 other 2nd Gen clutches for buddies, one for the 96’ Taco and got talked into putting a clutch into an Isuzu Sidekick in the last 4 years. I got a call Sunday that one of the 2nd gen TOB’s is starting to squeak after 10 months of being in there. 2nd and 3rd gen TOB’s are a friggin gremlins. I’m about 18 months on my last one and :fingerscrossed:

    Okay. Never mind! Haha!

I swapped two TOBs and left the clutch alone. There was some wear on the diaphragm fingers, but nothing horrible. Just the damn chirping. The last one was getting bad quickly though.

I have not heard of many 3rd Gen TOB issues. Just a few posted here and parts manager at a smaller dealer said that they sold one total. I'm hating the situation because I have never had an automotive clutch issue, even on ones that truly abused on purpose. My bike clutches were either really good wear or non-friction material issues (missing spline heat treat).

My one thought to try on this currently failing TOB is to pull the spring out of the slave as a test to get a bit of air gap. What's your thoughts? As is, there is way more pressure than I would like. Total seat of the pants feeling there.

I think they are 50/50 to start making noise. My truck hasn’t had a squealer yet so I haven’t put too much thought into messing with it.

Dayum. Interesting take. Between you and I, you're right. Hahaha!

Cheers! The constant contact seems wrong. Gimme air gap.
