Towards the end of my 450-mile trip, the audio output in the truck stopped working. I was connected to my cell phone via wireless Android Auto and listening to a podcast while running Google Maps. I thought it was just my cell phone and the Bluetooth connection, but when I changed to the radio, the audio still didn't work. I restarted my cell phone, and it reconnected to the truck. Still, there was no audio. So I pulled over to the side of the road and turned off the engine. I waited 30 seconds and then turned the engine back on. The truck reconnected to the cell phone, and the audio came back on. I'm putting this here in case someone else has the same issue.

I have twice experienced that very same issue and fix was the same also. However both instances were after continous driving of about 2 hours. I guess weve discovered a gremlin. Hope it doenst begin happening more often.

I'm just spitballing here, but do you have the "take a break" reminder turned on?

As far as I know it is on. I don't remember ever turning it off.

Next time it happens just press and hold the power button to reset the unit without having to restart the truck. I've had to do that before when mine did something similar. Toyota definitely needs to do a software update.

That still means I have to pull over and get it done. So I might as well turn it off and turn it on again.

You can do it without stopping... Don't have to hardly even take eyes off the road.

Interesting. I may try that as a test on a stretch of road where I don't have a chance of hitting anyone. Thanks.
