2021 Tacoma Extang Trifecta 2.0

Just put one of these on my 2021 double cab and the rear clamps don't even really hold the cover down? I confirmed I installed it correctly, not much to it, but not sure I got the right brackets. I opened a case with them and they aren't really providing much insight. Anyone have one of these and point me in the right direction? I have had several of these on my F-150's over the years and worked as they should. Thanks for any help.

 

Do your brackets look like this? An instruction sheet I saw has big brackets in the back. Thought maybe I got the wrong brackets. And the rear spring clamps have hardly any force.

 

Yeah then somehow they both are smoked. Neither clamp very strong and one just sticks even though it says “pull and release quickly” it just sits there. The old clamps were much better in my opinion. They said they will send new clamps out but I am a little skeptical as how could two of them be bad out of the gate. Seems odd. Oh well thanks for the help
