@Brownmatthall you could replace your tent mounting bars with muffler clamps in a similar fashion. I was going to do that if i kept the tent.

^^^ Yup. I need a controller because it's going to the battery. You can do a setup like Jack has without a second MPPT controller. Most power stations are just fancy USB battery banks. I know Jackery has one in there (I've been thinking of a Jackery and 100W fold out from Harbor Freight), and a bunch of others do too. If you have a "Solar In", then you won't need a second MPPT/PWM controller.

This is in the power stations, not the panels. Reason being - you can string together a bunch of panels into one solar charger, then into the battery/ies. So the panels are pretty bare bones so they can be modular.

@AllTacosFloat has a dual battery setup with a DC to DC charger if I remember correctly.

Ah gotcha, so I’ll just wire the panel directly to my ecoflow, neat.

Had it in the last truck and still have the panel but this truck had the jbl amp behind the back seat where I had it before. Need to look into removing it if I want room.

Im considering doing duals like you had but I don't like the fact the dog will be sitting on the batteries. Not sure what I want to do

Seat stays in place and they’re bolted down. Should be fine unless you store the dog treats with the batteries.

We have a dog bed on the back of the seat so they are down. Im thinking two trays in the flatbed will keep them out of the cab. Hopefully sneak them in in front of the rear wheels

I saw someone built a seat delete and made that area a cubby you can access from the top (like 2/3 of the back of the seat height)

Yeah Im tempted to make one that is just high enough to open the lid for the under seat storage and have two batteries in there too. Cant go too tall cause the dog needs headroom

    Oh hot damn!

That plastic insert comes out and you have a ton more space under there. If you take that out, you could just use the platform access panels as the lids.

I took it out to wire my fridge 12V port, but I didn't take any good pictures of that removed. This thread shows a bunch.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oem-all-weather-flooring-part-numbers.443444/

I'd just take that cubby out entirely, and build the frame/platform around that with access panels.

    Thanks guys!

Yeah pretty much. I need a bed mat and didn't know stock one's were not available anymore but.... A bed cover is also needed. Other than that maybe just get rid of the silver touches and stuff. That's about it.

I’m pretty sure I could find a 2008 statement you made about the Tacoma saying the same thing!

I was thinking of buying a new set of the Thule ones since the stuck one might be a stuck more than one soon. My bed bars are rectangular so I don't think the muffler clamps would work unfortunately
Bed box is definitely the move I think, I use the cubby space and if I ever build out a Rob platform I'd rather not have a car battery next to my head lol

I use these mounts to mount solar panels flush with my (8020) Sherpa rack.
