For those of you who utilize a 12-volt refrigerator, are you using it underneath your Tonneau cover? If so, which one are you using?

I just realized that my current fridge won't fit if I purchase a Tonneau Cover, so I'm trying to figure out exactly how much space I'll have underneath it and what size fridges will fit.

Are you using a soft cover or hard cover?

I have a topper with a front window that I keep open when I am traveling for ventilation. No, a tonneau cover isn't hermetically sealed and yes there will be air leakage. I would be worried there is not enough air movement. Maybe someone who hasn't burnt out their fridge can chime in.

I have traveled with my current one in the back of my old Tundra without a Tonneau Cover, but only during non-rain times and I live in a very hot climate. What I'm doing with the new truck, is setting it up with a 12-volt bed charger and I'd like to leave the fridge in there under the Tonneau cover. I am still trying to figure out what cover to buy and my current fridge is too high. Note, this would not be in the desert with extreme temps.

That's a good point. Hadn't thought about ventilation for the fridge under a tonneau.
