Why does it need to be solid? I've often wondered why any "sag" in a platform deck is a show stopper. My bed, that I sleep on every night, gently nudges me in the direction of my warm, soft and curled up wife. What is wrong with the same in a truck sleeper?

    ;-)

So you INTENTIONALLY made the center supports 1/8 in and 1/4 in short than the outside supports?

Yeah OEM 2020 59k miles. I figured it was due. It was starting to have some acid etching around the top.

I will try to get some pics tomorrow when I get a chance but it is a bracket on passenger inner fender. Odd location but it gave me the most room.

Yessir! Removable for extra foot space / sitting for working during the day on our laptops / if I'm going solo for a weekend. You can slide it back in for 2 people. It's two ~34" pieces you can stack if need be. Supported by 2 2x4 stringers and it's solid as a rock.

There is a difference between "strong enough" and "stiff enough".

A margin of 3:1 is my estimate.

The raised platform in my Softopper covered long bed is a pair of 2X8 in the side wall notches with a sheet of 8 mm (3/8") plywood sheathing.

Works GREAT! My wife is not a heavy person. ;-)

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
ABS booster sits there for some trims.

After 17 weeks...and a couple return trips to the shop, it's finally done.

And the shop reapplied the tailgate decal...it's a good thing they did because I certainly wasn't.

I used a bb. I haven’t used pellets for years. It’s just what I call the little rifle. Got plenty of bigger firearms for real threats. I just wanted to sting him and send him off. No lead involved. I will use it mostly for squirrels getting after my bird feeders and it worked as well on the big critters. Even the coyotes and deer that drink from my pond get a pass but if a big cat comes prowling around he will get taken seriously and lead will definitely be involved

Zip tie all those positives together, make the are straight coming off the battery, point that fuse up, and place a zip tie on each side of it. Cut a slit in the red boot. If you want to spend more money and time you could get new terminals that have more spots to tie into.

My truck is a manual. I have an older version of one of these. https://overlandequipped.com/collections/fuse-block-bracket/products/copy-of-auxiliary-fuse-block-bracket-for-3rd-gen-toyota-tacoma-2016
It has a bracket to hang the clutch fluid off of.

I'd be shocked if either would penetrate their fur and skin unless it was one of the pointed pellets sent out of a break barrel pellet gun. I know the one I've got is real close to the muzzle velocity of an actual 22 long. A friend of mine had a problem bear and he set up "bear bomb" for it. A can of wasp spray smothered in peanut butter and honey. When that bear bit into it he got quite a surprise. He said he didn't see that bear around his yard for a few months.

oil change, tire rotation. First time doing it myself on this truck (out of toyotacare). Dealership techs used neanderthal strength to put the drain bolt and filter housing on. Also - no oil filler cap was on the truck. I'm not sure if they forgot to put it back on or it vibrated off.

That sucks. It's stories like this that caused me to do all my own oil changes from the beginning. Sometimes free isn't so free.
