No idea. My 2023 had it on the sticker as well. I didn't pay for any of the add-ons that totaled over 6k on mine.

I’m guessing a spray bottle ceramic treatment, $6.99 a bottle at AutoZone and coats 100 windshields.

All these posers in there lifted mallcrawlers, when you know they do most of their shopping on Amazon.

We have a local dealer that does this stuff. They won't budge off those stupid added extras that are marked up 1000%. I just laugh and take my hard earned money to someone else that wants to do a fair deal and not gouge people. He who with the money gets to make all the decisions.

Windshield sealant.... You know what else you can get for $795? A new windshield.

Your buddy was right on passing on it. I hope everyone else does too. Maybe they'll take a few hundred off after the truck sits for 9 months.

Both the Landcruisers there were hybrids & First Editions. A guy there said they are special with extra skidplates & rock sliders, but had street tires on them. One had add-ons that put it in high 80's but same tires. I took a shitty pic of the sticker of the more "affordable" one but glare was crazy. They had the police there, apparently someone tried to break into one of them.

Or the ceramic paint sealant dealer add-on. I refused to pay for it & it seemed to be gone after a month or two of car washes. I bought my 2023 at end of June last year. There was more shoppers then than now. I told the sales guy what I would pay & had no trade. No problem a year ago. Now? Pay the markup or hit the road. He had no trade in either.

The going rate is 2500-5000 under msrp. Just find a normal dealer and not that garbage

On the Tacoma OR- my friend took a pic of this. I didn't notice it, he said it was a leaf spring rear with what looks like a damper. Not seeing a leaf. Interesting.

Yes and no. You have to find the dealer with the one unit that’s been on the lot for 90+ days. Dealers have all kinds of backend processes to offset the apparent losses at 5k+ off and Toyota also kicks in. On one of the screens about by truck I noticed a note that Toyota contributed 1025.00 to this unit. Ask which one has been on the lot the longest and that’s the one they will deal on. I tried to deal on one that was there for 20 days and had a few more options and they weren’t dealing on it. It was almost identical to the one I bought.

I think this is called a floor plan cost... Like some sort of interest they incurr to keep the vehicle on the lot. To help with that OEM's sometimes give some money to the dealer to offset this cost.

Not a 2024 Tacoma, but a new windshield for a 2023 can be had here for around $400. Figure a few more hundred for labor.
    https://wholesaledirect.moderntoyota.com/oem-parts/toyota-windshield-5610104082

We replaced the windshield on our Honda that has the front facing radar/camra thing and Safelite only charged $500-ish. That was with an OEM replacement too as well as re-calibration of the radar sensor.

First you have to find someone that can actually get you one for the 2024. From another thread, back in May they were talking $1200 and a month's wait.
I got a small rock chip the day after I picked up my truck. Luckily it didn't spread before I could get it to a glass place where they did a patch. So far, so good. I hope it can hold out until 2024 windshields become more common place.
My state requires insurance to cover windshields, but I hate even to cost an insurance company that much 2 days after I put the car on the policy.

$795 like is says on the sticker.
From another thread, I'd be more concerned about the "security system". Not only do they want to rip you off on the cost, but they cut and patch them into the wiring harness and may (or more likely may not) do a competent job.

Ouch... $1200 is a bit steep for a windshield. I imagine it's no more or less special than any other typical automotive windshield that would warrant the extra cost.

One person on the thread claimed he was quoted $1800. Pretty sure it's because there weren't any out there at the time. I'm not sure about now and hoping not to have to find out :)
