I noticed my SR5 while running the OE 245s, the speed read ~4mph fast. So, 74 is actually 70mph.

could it be miles per gallon is overestimated with small tires effecting speedometer?

I have found the mileage to be getting better as my truck has gotten broken in, was and 22-23 early on and has settled in and 24mpg of late… maybe temp in fall Va summer? Idk but I’m happy with it!

for reference, I drive 40 miles each way to and from work every day, some highway, most of it rolling hills at around 50mph

I’ve had my new 2024 SR5 for almost two weeks. After 1200 miles I get between 24-25 mpg on the interstate at 72 mile per hour. Used to get around 22 mpg on my 2019 on same roads at same speed.

best I have gotten at 65 MPH on cruise control is 20.6. I live in Houston and there is no traffic when I head into work so it's not stop and go. On and it's flat like a flat earther prefers the world to be. LOL

I’m on my second tank, first average was 24.5 70% highway 80+ mph. The trip computer was spot on to the hand calculated. My current tank is sitting at 23 mpg 50% city. SR5 4x4 long bed.

For those not so interested in hyper mile figures...

I average 20-21 mpg self calculating when I fill up. I drive 80 mph on the interstate and put it in sport mode whenever theres not a lot of traffic. (1/3 of the time)

Sometimes on the morning commute the truck will say I got 23-24mpg for the trip.

This is not trying or caring about MPG in a 6MT TRDOR.

If I drove like I had an egg between my foot and the gas pedal, I'm sure I'd get a mile or 3 better but it's just not worth the $5 I'd save.
