New owner/member here, looking to spiff up this old fleet truck and I’d like to keep things cheap and simple. This is my first truck and I have very little experience with vehicle modification.

It seems to have a low height compared to other Tacomas I see on the road. It needs new tires and I’m hoping to give it a better stance. Hit me with any and all tips, suggestions, questions, and recommendations. Example photos would also be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the forum.

It sits lower because it's 2wd.

It's a 5 lug truck not a 6 lug (Pre-Runner/4wd), they have a completely different suspension and sit lower than 6 lug trucks.

They can be lifted but there's not nearly as many options for lifts/wheels/tires as there are for 6 lug trucks.

Check out the 5 lug sub forum for more info.

There are a lot of better looking used wheels which will fit a 5 lug Tacoma.
Most Highlander, RAV4, Sienna and Camry rims are a straight swap.
I've also seen Jeep and Mustang wheels used.
Search the 5 Lug section of the forum for examples.
I had RAV4 wheels on my first Tacoma and Highlander wheels on my present one.

Put some new tires on it,leave the stance alone,as there is nothing wrong with how it sits.
