Depending on the year, I’ve seen that some Tacoma bed sides unbolt and can be replaced with metal or even fiberglass sides.

 

i would definitely inspect the frame. they're well known to rust out even more than the body panels, so if the body panels are in this bad of shape, the frame is very likely just as bad, which means there's not much more life in the truck anyways.
