My truck started throwing p0705 and is not indicating in the dash the proper gear position. I have already replaced the saftey neutral switch with OEM switch and it still not indicating properly. If I slightly bump the shifter with my hand it will light up the gear but I'm not in the gear that is being indicated.

Are you sure the switch is adjusted properly?

Any slack in the shifter cable?

How do you adjust it. There is minimal slack in cable
as far as I can tell. It just seems that the gear shifter is a little out of time with the dash indicator by about 1 , I put it in drive and get the reverse indication.
