    Hi guys,

So I think I have the infamous timing cover oil leak in my 2006 Tacoma. I have 248,xxx miles on it and I’ve never had any issues with this truck besides a fuel pump going bad and replacing wheel bearings. Oil was all over the place and my serpentine belt is now shredded too so it will need to be replaced as well.

I called a few nearby shops to get a quote to fix the timing chain cover leak like Tokyo Automotive in Fullerton and Pro Auto in La Habra. Tokyo automotive quoted me $3600 to $4500 because they said they have to remove the engine and also have to replace timing chain and water pump because of my mileage. Pro Auto quoted me $2600 -$3400 to fix timing cover leak but didn’t ask me about mileage.

I was wondering if any of you would recommend a good shop or person to take it to as I don’t really have time to do it myself since I know it’s a lot of labor hours?

    Thank you guys!!

Replaced the belt, my buddy thinks it's the power steering hose that is leaking because it's caked everywhere so I'm going to replace it and give it a wash. Crossing my fingers it just that and not timing cover or crankshaft seal.
