Do any of you all have some jerry can theft protection mods/ideas. I would not like to have to carry another key on my key ring. My can carrier is a dual kind like C4 (similar to the picture) with no securing bracket. Just two eyelets for a rachet system. I no nothing is theft proof but a little slow down would be great.

Kryponite cable wrapped through the handles and swingout, with the padlock somewhere that's difficult to access without opening the swingout.

    well, there is locks
    and I have locks

I get what you're saying. Dealt with the same thing.
I have a bag hidden in the truck. Truck key opens the truck.
In the bag, I might have a $5 lock to a $20 item.

That hopefully nobody steals because who the hell is going to waste their time for $10 worth of used shit. It's not gold. If they do, oh well I guess. In that case I guess my side view mirrors aren't locked from grabbing either.

I mean this sounds amazing and like the best way...keyed to Tacoma key...to keep it one key

+1 for the boltlocks. I have one on a length of truck chain to secure my Hi-Lift, and I replaced the lock on my bed box as well. The convenience is matched only by the cool factor. I've had the padlock in the usually-open bed for several years of Salt Hell and never do anything but hit it with the hose when I rinse the truck down. Quality products.

I went with boltlocks btw. It is great having one key for my swing out padlock, cable lock for gas cans, and cable lock for my spare tire.
