FJ80 Wheels on a 1st gen?

So I just bought new 285/75R16s and I’m thinking about mounting them on a spare set of FJ80 rims I had. Does anybody have any pictures of them on their truck for reference? TIA already got them sandblasted and ready to paint

That’s one of the few pictures I’ve seen of them on a 1st gen, that’s the one that inspired me to use them in the first place lol

 

I think they are great looking wheels in dark grey, and very period correct for a 1st gen.

 

Agreed, I’ll probably rattle can them black for now just so I can get everything on the truck and get it out of my garage for a while, then paint them bronze in the near future

Just thought I’d post an update in case anybody else was wondering how they’d look on their truck:

 

I just scooped up a set of these and plan on mounting them up tomorrow. Has anyone had any issues with clearances, etc? They look a bit offset compared to stock so I’m hoping they’ll remedy some rubbing issues.

 

They're pretty much the same as stock. They're just an inch wider overall so they poke out half inch more and they extend inward half an inch more.

 

Keep them white, they look great.

 

Slapped them on the rig today and I think they look great, especially for a junkyard pull. They are black (powdercoated?) which I don't think was stock. They don't rub on the frame when I pull into my driveway, which it usually does. I'll see how bad it really is in the next few days.
