Fresh engine and cabin filters, oil and filter change, quick wash to inspect the bear damage/scratches and then the drive through at Culver's for ice cream. Of course it rained after and messed up the car wash.

This spot on the tailgate is the deepest/worst. There's a couple of long scratches on the lower drivers side bed panel. The fender flares on the bed are pretty scratched too. I'm not sure I'll bother with repainting. Resprays never match and the texture is alway off. :notsure:

You could throw one of those topo stickers on your tailgate or something like this: https://www.beyondwraps.com/product...xJF4NNzYRVxN75vQcNQZ3hO8AI4P-wtsGZRIPubrNuM1Y

My tailgate was smashed. I had It fixed good enough.. I just used plastidip to hide the paintless dent removal (he couldn't fix it 100%). It's not ideal, but it was better to me than getting another tailgate

    Yeah.
It shouldn't hurt anything, but you'll need to do this 8 to 10 times to fully "replace" all the fluid. If you do it with every oil change, it makes sense, but IMHO it is better to just do a full refresh at around 60K and be done with it for another 60K.

Finally bit the bullet and got the full rustproofing oil coating done throughout the truck as recommended by many here. It was a pain in the ass keeping it clean enough and humidity controlled to prevent rust and the warranty period is almost done so I figured it’s time for oil treatment while it’s still minty. They took off my taillights sprayed in the fenders, in the frame, drilled new holes and got in my rockers and literally everywhere. It’s fantastic. Looks great and I feel a lot better no rust will creep in from somewhere I overlooked. They warranty against any rust forming on this truck now for its life as long as I do it every 13 months or less. Since we plan on keeping this for 20 years it’s very worthwhile and cheaper than how often I was cleaning it. IMG_7783.jpg IMG_7782.jpg IMG_7781.jpg IMG_7780.jpg IMG_7779.jpg IMG_7778.jpg

Saw another Quicksand SX by my parents house in TN the other day, looked great. Your setup looks killer though.

Thanks I am on crutchfield now. I still don't quite understand (I am not great with audio jargon). Did you just add this to your JBL OEM headunit and it improves sound, or does it give you more options to replace the stock JBL speakers, etc.?

Specifically what did you do on yours and what is the result?

This is one of the options to get low-level audio signal from a JBL head unit. (The other option is a Rockford DSR-1)

Signal sent to 7 channels of amplification and replaced all factory speakers. Sound is currently impressive, but considering better drivers with active crossover.

I went with OEM Audio + which offers a complete solution for replacing the amp and speakers. This piece allows you to use an amp and speakers of your choice while keeping the stock head unit. I swapped to an Alpine head unit from TrailGridPro that also came with a plug and play harness. Most keep the stock head unit so they can maintain control over vehicle controls. The TrailGridPro setup also allows me to adjust vehicle controls.

Yeah the SX was such a deal and Quicksand has been great for AZ. That truck hasnt been washed in a month-ish and sat through a few monsoons and you can barely tell. The factory alloys staved off the impulse of buying wheels long enough but I finally gave in.

Yep. It's cheaper to do it all at once as well.

I'm not going to worry about it. I'll do a drain and refill at 20-25k intervals from now on.
