I need to remove the driver’s side lower dash on a 2024 Tacoma so that I can rip out a dealer-installed KARR security system. I don’t want to break anything (plastic clips, wires, etc.) and there aren’t any good walkthroughs for the 4th gen yet.

So, I’m debating paying $25 to subscribe to TIS and use the official repair guides. But before I do that, what, *exactly* do I get once I’m subscribed? Is it just a list of links to PDFs that I can browse/save? Do I have to install some kind of app? (The system requirements page lists Java, which hasn’t been on any Macs in a decade.)

I just want to know what I get for my $25 and verify I can use it before I waste the money. Thanks!

You get access to all service information for any/every Toyota/Lexus/Scion model made since the 80s as well as training manuals, TSBs, new car features, and VIN lookup.
It takes a bit to learn how to navigate if your not familiar with Toyota's terms for components but it's all there.

If you have any further questions let me know.

Once you select a vehicle click search and it will bring up everything specific to that vehicle, from there if you want to search for something specific you can type it into the search box.

When you click on a link in a tab it will open up a new window and take you to that section of repair info, the repair manual (RM) and wiring diagram (EWD) sections will have a menu on the side and a search bar on top as well as a build date selection in the upper left if applicable to that model.

You can click the printer icon at the top right to print the section your in or save it as a PDF.

I paid the $25 and spent a few hours downloading all documents related to my truck. I compiled it into a comprehensive repair manual that is searchable. I also did the same for the wiring diagram, which was honestly more useful then the repair manual.

Did you just combine all the PDFs into one document? This is exactly what I want to do.

Yes, I used Adobe acrobat pro to do it, but there is probably free software that can do the same.
