I just wish they would make more with or without. They would sell more if they made more.

You guys saw the news of the 6th gen 4Runner being delayed by 3 months due to common parts being prioritized for the LC? Seems Toyota continues to have supply chain bottlenecks. No shortage of shock absorber seats though :cookiemonster:

I attribute it to Toyota making too many models. Their greed is showing and it’s on full display.

    For example… https://www.parkplacelexusgrapevine...S-GX+550-3625c2b4ac1850079f950d8db99a8b24.htm

Yea, pretty shocking. This vehicle was on the dealer entrance perch when I drove by and it looked damn good. A lot better than the showroom pics.

    But six figures? WTF

Yeah Toyota knocked it out of the park in the looks department for the LC and GX IMO. Pricing wise? Way out of line like all other GA-F vehicles.

I see. Looks like next year model change games they all play. I will quit scouring the inventory and wait for next year. Which is practically right around the corner.

I'd consider trading for the new LC (prefer it over the new 4R and Tacoma) but its pricing is way out of line. Not a good value, IMO.

Are you looking at the fully optioned model or the 1958, I think the 1958 is priced ok (I think all are priced to high in general) What I am really curious to see is where the 4 runner lands in the pricing mix. With the 1958 at 55/60 and some of the current old gen 4 runners in the 50's, I wonder how they are going to pigeon hole that one price wise.

I've crawled around a few 1958's and I actually like that trim, and the seats are some of the best cloth seats I have come across. Judging by the numbers of them on lots and if they keep producing, it won't be long until you can deal pretty well on the LC.

The higher trim LC models I agree that the pricing gets a bit out of hand.

So I decided I am going Tundra , I will be putting my deposit down today . I am told the 2024s don't have the engine issue also it will be a lease. After she explained how it works in Canada and being I never do a lot of KM in a year it will work out better for me . I'll then change it in a few years down the road for a pro hopefully with all the refreshes

My dealer has a 2024 with 48 miles on it in for a new engine and new transmission. Just an FYI. Didn’t get the build date on it though. My ‘24 was built 11/30/23 so waiting to see if or when they extend the recall. I’ve read about a half dozen 2024’s built in 2024 with spun bearings.

48 miles? That bearing must be a complete shit design. That's a REALLY fast bearing failure.

Yeah, I was/am hoping it was a crazy coincidence that it happened to one so new. It’s odd it also needed a new transmission as well. I asked for the build date but the guy didn’t have it in front of him.

I bought my November 2023 build in April of 2024 so it could have been one from before they changed the main bearing part # in early 2024.

I can’t imagine Toyota replacing 100k engines with ones that are still going to spin the main bearing. Toyota would look like clowns if they spent over $1B doing this and still having the same issue happening after. I am hoping that one with 48 miles was like mine and had sat on the lot a long time.

The whole engine thing is different in Canada from what I was told. We won't be getting crate engines up here which is bull shit

Ford never received a bailout because they didn't need it.

    GM shouldn't exist.
