I’m hoping someone can help me. I was fixing the wiring harness to the rear view mirror; had to get a donor plug to solder to the three wires that come from the headliner. So the rear view mirror works (there’s power to it) but now the truck has no power to it when I turn it off completely. Doors won’t lock/unlock, hazards won’t come on, dome lights, nothing. Truck bed lights, nothing responds. It’s only active when it’s at least in accessory mode.

does anyone have any idea what could be wrong. The truck was off when I was re wiring the plug to the harness, every thing was fine before that. And when the truck is in accessory mode or actually on, everything works fine, but as soon as I switch it off, nothing.

if someone could please help me out, short of going to the dealer, I’d be happy to send you a tip.

this is a picture of the plug I was working on, I checked all the interior fuses and all seem ok. My truck is a ‘23.

Check your ECU-B No 3 fuse (10A) in the underhood fuse box, I bet it's blown.

Disconnect the negative battery cable for any electrical operations like this, if you left it connected before.

    No need.
Well it also powers part of the rearview mirror so I'm guessing the wire got shorted either when the harness got messed up or while you were working on it.

A circuit that is not "apparently" powered when car is off still has a "ground". The only way to be safe is to remove the many electrons in the battery from feeding back.
