My mechanic told me there is a recall for the fuel pump on my 2021 Tacoma. I have not gotten anything from Toyota. I called a dealer and they told me it is a "Customer Service Report" and not a recall. Which means if something happens I can bring it in for a free replacement, but not until something happens. This sounds a little weird to me as I tend not to trust the dealers. Anybody have any information? Thanks

It was called a warranty enhancement, so if your fuel pump fails or is leaking/smelling gas while running and is within the time frame that they specify then they’ll replace it for free. I sometimes notice a gas smell and took mine to the dealer after getting the notice but they couldn’t find anything wrong.

Thanks, I never got a notice for the warranty enhancement, maybe they didn't send them for the 2021s.

Looks like it wasn't a recall, it was a Customer Support Program (23TE01) as stated above. Valid 10 years from date of first use.

I received the Customer Support Program document 23TE01 in the late spring of 2024. I bought my 2020 model truck new in February of 2020. If you didn't purchase the truck new, they may or may not not send this document to the current owner.

I bought my 2019 in June of 2020. At that time there was a pump recall on Tundras and not to long after I got a recall notice for the fuel pump on my Tacoma. I don't remember it being a Customer Support Program, but was told that it was okay to drive the truck until pumps were available.

I was notified when to bring it in and got a free rental car while it was being repaired.
