3rd gen 4 door. Sounds like some people are using a little bit of dynamat or knockoffs to improve the sound quality of door speakers they put in during an upgrade. I ordered 10 SF of 80 mil. Do people just put a little bit of this stuff behind the speaker and over the speaker mounting bracket on the front? I know you can deaden the entire door - that's not what I'm trying to do.

yes, simplest/cheapest is going to be the metal door skin behind the speaker, and the area surrounding the speaker opening.
