Has anybody done this? What has it cost you and were you able to keep 4wheel drive? I have a 2005 Tacoma with a perfectly clean replacement frame and it has over 200k miles, I got this thing for 8k last year and it’s doing just fine but I’ve heard the 05 models have head gasket issues… I think it would be pretty badass to have my mechanic across the street help me swap it but I want to know how difficult it is and how much it could end up costing

It's been done but it takes alot of time, money, and effort.

Unless you have alot of time and money to dedicate to it, are good with wiring, welding, reading & understanding wiring diagrams, and fabricating custom stuff I'd advise against it.
