Agreed, even tho I’ve moved away from Tacoma in general, doesn’t mean I don’t still check up every week or so. Facebook group would be way easier (and faster!)

Been living in it since March.
I have worked on leveling the yard, underpin the back deck, make flower beds, hanging some Ring door bells and security cameras the past few days. Started the front flower bed today.
Also pulled all the bushings out of the steering rack on my red truck, they were bad, waiting on the new ones to get it back together. Have you all been on any rides lately?

 

Nice! Apparently you’ve done something that the Marine, has really thought you deserve it for. They are not handed out to everyone.

Not to one up you at all... I gave these out to my section when I retired out. Usually if you receive a challenge coin, it’s from a ranking Enlisted/Officer. I did as a lower NCO. Everyone one of the kids in the section thought it was cool as hell to get one, Especially from someone they knew of and worked for. That was 8 years ago. I still keep in touch with a couple of them, and they still bring it up to this day. I guess when an impression has been made, it’s remembered.

I can only guess that because I befriended him. I take time out of my day to always speak to Mr Tracy when I see him. Also he jokingly asked me to cook SOS, after the third time I actually put my version of Chipped Beef on their menu and he couldn’t believe that I listened to such a simple request. Knowing that it brought back good memories for him, even if they were not always the best memories, he appreciated that I made the exception for him. Which btw it was extremely well received by all 268 residents I cook for daily.

 

The guy that started Alabama Tacomas and Tundras is a good friend of mine.
