i need to find a good deal on a huge compressor! my 20 Gallon runs out of power pretty quickly when im using like an air hammer, or a nibbler. is fine for most stuff like bikes and the occasional tire rotation but you know more power is better!

There is no such thing as too much air - or too many 5 gallon buckets!

100% my wife has asked me why I love them, and why i grab them ever time I find one! many under my work bench, on the shelves full of bottles, one is full of spray paint that kind of stuff, keep one with a Big propane bottle for camping. heck keep one full of all my wiring supplies some rolled wire on a piece of scrap, and some shrink tubing.

i find them ideal for bringing in firewood stubs. Pieces too short to stack just get thrown between rows and collected when we get to that row. From knots to short split pieces. And for straps they're the cat's ass.

Looking into adding some cabinets to my garage. Anyone using the Gladiator Gear box sets? Pros and cons?

yeah but be up front about getting the metal from your trusted and vetted source and explain how the “labor” and “wear&tear” on tools works.

I’ve lost two friends because I trusted “their” metal guy and it wasn’t was the grade they claimed. One I learned by thinking I screwed it up and bought proper metal from a “trusted” source with my own money and the other I called the seller out, a “local guy” that gave him “mates rates” for high grade aluminum and got low grade that was easily checked with this tool.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CNVQZ21S

Showed him the results and he called me a liar because he knows that dude was legit and would never screw him. I suggested it could have been a simple error that honest dude would rectify to which he stopped communicating with me and to my knowledge never mentioned it to “Honest Bob”.

I have the Gladiator ones that hang on the wall. No complaints. You can find them on sale regularly at Lowes, often online as part of their "Dailey Deals". I also have one of the Husky upright cabinets from Home Depot, these can be found on sale regularly also.

I guess I'm confused because I have no idea about the text in that quote of mine (not something I typed) nor do I have any idea how metal hardness relates to my statement that I have a small garage?

I went in for something else this morning and figured, eh, I'll look. Walked away with a 1/4" low profile stubby guy for I think $15. Already come in handy working on a motorcycle today.

if you're an inside track member, this grinder is half off. i paid full price for both of mine, and it's still a great deal at $45... the one i leave at work keeps pace with metabo grinders. i spent 6 hours grinding off a salespersons 'mistake' earlier this week, it's still running like brand new.

I’ve always been good with a 25 gallon, but trying to operate a sandblast cabinet, not even close to enough air.

I got lucky, just happened on an old timer down the street from me on Craigslist who keeps himself busy rebuilding compressors, I checked in again recently and he’s got some nice machines he’s selling
IMG_3019.jpgIt’s alive!! Next gotta get the compressor going

They’re really affordable actually, I paid under $3000, maybe not the best quality, but they’re common enough that you can even get replacement motors if need be. Totally worth it considering I had no idea how else I’d safely achieve a body swap on 2 Tacomas, it’ll pay for itself in saved time, risk and frustration.
