Lumbar support

Anyone have issues with the lumbar in the drivers seat? Mine is almost non-existent. It used to work fine but when I turn the knob now it doesn't do much. Idk if there's a way to repair it or if anyone has had this problem.

 

Yep, mine fades rather quickly.

 

mine seems to be almost non existent compared to how it used to be.

 

I can get it to work if I dial it down somewhat and then dial it back up but then it starts releasing or fading. I looked into how to troubleshoot it but it involved taking the seat apart which is where I decided no thanks.

 

Try one of those lumbar pillows. I'm on the road a lot and see them in truck stops sometimes. Might work.

 

This! Mine stopped working a lot of long time ago.

 

I've used since day 1 and on my 2000 too - if I don't my back kill. $$ well spent.

I should look at that. Still would like to know what the deal is with the internal lumbar on the seat tho

Hey dudes i think i have an answer for you, similar issue happened in my third gen but the system is the same so i would assume the problem is as well.


My lumbar used to work but has since stopped, dissasembling the seat shows wires that tighten the lumbar area with the adjustment knob. These wires are way too fragile, and snapped on mine. I plan to replace them, ill let you know if it works.
