This week I've noticed an odd sound that I can't identify; it sounds like a blower faintly pushing air into the cab, without the air. This occurs at all times and the sound increases with RPM, not acceleration. This is occurring in the cab only, as there is nothing detectable from outside the vehicle or under the hood; almost like soundproofing was stripped off the firewall.

I have not done anything to the vehicle; no parts changes or anything. All fluids are topped off. Turning the AC on/off has no effect on the sound.

I'm clueless as what could be causing this. Any ideas?

I may be experiencing a similar sound to you, I believe I have traced it back to the fact that the previous owner had the windshield replaced (not well) and the seal is failing.

That would make sense. I had the windshield replaced a couple years ago and I guess that’s a good possibility. I ran it through the car wash a couple days ago; didn’t see any water leaking in, which (to me) would make it obvious.
