Another update.. I just hit 50,000 miles (80k kms), and still loving the truck! The only so called problem I've had was the boot on the caliper came off (ring rusted). I keep on top of all fluid maintenance.

I kicked around the idea of a full size truck for more space, but after seeing all the problems going on with new trucks, there's no chance I'm trading it in. I bought a small trailer instead! Plus I hate all the electronic crap that's been added, and everything is boosted now... (makes me wonder if the 2.7 will outlast the 2024 2.4!?) And of course prices are ridiculous.

When I hit 60k miles, I'll update again.

When washing never go in circles with your wash mitt. Only straight lines.

Yea, the cruise control on these 4cyl's is worthless on everything but a level road. I just use my foot to keep the RPMs steady going up hills. Using the CC driving through the hills can't be good for the trans or engine as it wants to floor itself once it senses any decent grade.

My truck has Adaptive Cruise Control and I learned that the best trick to get the transmission to behave is to find a big truck moving the speed you wanna go, turn ACC on and then set the speed to be higher than the truck is going. It really calms the transmission down so it's not downshifting whenever it wants to (which is all the time).

Obviously it's only helpful for '18+ Taco's and can only really be used on the open interstate, but that's at least the time I wanna be using cruise control anyways.
