My 2nd gen OR tires are peeling bad. I'm looking to buy some cheap replacements from a 3rd gen OR. Do those wheels peel like the 2nd gen wheels? Does anyone have this problem?

Most factory alloys are clearcoated for easier maintenance. As long as you don't abrade the wheels against rocks/trees/etc or use extremely harsh cleaners on them, they should not peel in the course of normal ownership.

You will likely end up selling your truck before those start peeling. The early 2nd gen rims were pretty bad paint quality though (certain types).
